Istanbul Cinematic
Seamless Cinematic Environment for LED Stage
Unreal Engine 5 | PCG | Lumen | Sequencer
Overview
A large-scale real-time cinematic environment created for a theatre LED screen, featuring a seamless transition from an Istanbul-inspired cityscape to a stylized lavender field.
I was responsible for environment creation, cinematic setup, and procedural systems.
My Role
Cinematic Artist / Technical Artist / Environment Designer

• Built a large-scale seamless environment combining city, park, and lavender fields
• Directed the cinematic sequence and camera in Sequencer
• Developed PCG systems for buildings and vegetation generation
• Created Blueprint actors with randomization and instancing
• Handled lighting, composition, and optimization

Environments
-
Constructed a single large scene combining multiple biomes — city, park zone, and lavender fields.
-
Focused on composition, depth layering, and silhouette readability for large LED display viewing.
Cinematic Direction
Designed a long continuous camera move (pullback shot) transitioning from a detailed urban environment into a wide natural landscape.
The scene was built to maintain visual coherence and pacing across a large spatial scale.
PCG Systems
Used PCG graphs extensively to generate background buildings, vegetation, and lavender fields.
This allowed efficient creation of large-scale environments with controlled randomness and visual consistency.

Blueprint Systems
Developed reusable Blueprint actors with randomization logic and instancing for props and environment elements.
This improved variation while keeping the scene performant and scalable.
